Judy is a ten-year-old girl who was referred to For The Child's Mental Health Program because she locked herself in a bathroom stall at school and threatened to kill herself. Judy has lived in more than twenty foster homes and has been admitted to psychiatric hospitals several times for treatment of depression.
Judy was physically and sexually abused by her stepfather from the time she was a toddler until early elementary school age.
Many of her previous foster placements failed because the foster families could not handle the severity of her mental health problems. Although Judy has many challenges in her life, she has shown definite improvement during her treatment at For The Child. She uses her therapy time well to learn ways of coping with difficult memories and emotions. She was very touched at Christmas by the special gifts she received from For The Child donors, including a beautiful coat and a hand carved wood jewelry box. The best gift of all was sharing Christmas with a supportive foster family.

Cops: Mom Showed Us Pic... of Tot Duct-Taped to Chair
A Pennsylvania mom has been arrested after showing a photo of herself posing with her toddler daughter gagged and bound to a chair with duct tape ... to police. The photo—which shows the mom smiling and her baby clad only in a diaper—first surfaced on the Mediatakeout website. The 21-year-old mom approached Chester County investigators with the original photo, arguing that the site had "stolen" her identity, reports WSBT TV. A search of the young woman's home turned up a child's plastic chair with bits of tape still attached, according to police, who called the photo "disgusting." She later admitted binding the girl with tape, investigators said. She faces charges of child endangerment, unlawful restraint and false imprisonment. The child is being placed with relatives.

“He died from starvation due to neglect from these two defendants, his parents,” Lyons said.
The 5 month old baby only weighed 2 lbs. more than what he weighed at birth. He was found lying in his own waste, which had not been changed or attended to in 8 days.
I wonder if they had music playing loud enough to drown out his cries, or if the baby was too weak and dehydrated to cry?
The parents, of course, did nothing but play video-games and eat while their baby starved to death and died in his own filth. house on Feb. 4, strapped into his car seat. Mom Tells of Killing Toddler Son in 'Exorcism' Latisha Lawson says she was trying to drive out the demon 'Marzon'

A mother killed her toddler son as she was trying to "exorcise" a demon from his body, she told Indiana jurors. She accidentally crushed her son's neck as she attempted to stop him from spitting up a concoction of oil and vinegar she hoped would drive out the demon "Marzon," Latisha Lawson explained. "I knew and believe I was interacting with a demon at that time," she said. Lawson and another mother fed the mixture to four children, but the other three immediately spit it up, reports the Telegraph. Lawson hid the body of her son Jeziah for over a year. She said she hoped he would be resurrected. If convicted, Lawson faces up to 45 years in prison. The defense is trying to prove Lawson was delusional. But prosecutors say she knew what she was doing when she killed her son. "Jeziah was an unwanted kid," said an Allen County prosecutor. "This is a simple child abuse case. She still thinks she did the right thing. Scary."

Foster parents charged with horrific child abuse and torture June 8th, 2008

Foster parents are supposed to keep children safe. Where did the system go so horribly wrong, that Child Services would place a baby in the care of a woman and her boyfriend who brutalized, tortured and killed this poor little guy.
Her boyfriend, Lemar Martin, 25, was charged with assault and endangering a child’s welfare, as well as criminal possession of marijuana. The three lived in an apartment on Patchen Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
An autopsy yesterday found Kyle died from “multiple blunt impact injuries,” said Ellen Borakove, a spokeswoman for the city medical examiner. Police said more charges are pending.
The Associated Press reported that police said the boy had horrific signs of abuse, including a broken leg, and apparently had been sodomized before he died.
Cheatham’s and Martin’s relatives could not be reached yesterday.
